The 3rd Annual Beara 100 Mile Cycle was held over the weekend of 28/29th July.  The event organised by Jer O'Mahony and the staff of AIB was a major success.  The weather was fantastic and there was even more cyclists participating this year.  The route comprised of Castletownbere to Allihies, Urhan, Eyeries, Ardgroom, Lauragh and final destination on day 1 was Kenmare.  The kind Management of the Kenmare Bay Hotel sponsored accommodation for the cyclists on the Saturday night.  On Sunday the group proceeded to Glengarriff via the Tunnel Road and finished in Castletownbere.

The proceeds now in excess of £5,500 will be donated to Focus Ireland, Co-Action Beara and The R.N.L.I.  Over the last 2 years more than £8,000 has been donated from this event.  The organisers wish to express their heartfelt thanks for the generosity of the locals and business people alike.
