Cllr. Noel Harrington Weds in Castletownbere

Noel Harrington, son of Mary and the late
Cllr. Donie Harrington, Droum West, Castletownbere today married
Catherine Harrington (not changing her name), daughter of Mary D. and
the late Jimmy Harrington,(Gour), Castletownbere in the Sacred Heart
Church. The ceremony was performed by Fr. Donal O'Connor, with
Canon Patrick Sheehan and Fr. Sean O'Shea also officiating. Catherine was attended to by her best friend, Bernice O'Sullivan, North Road and Noel by his brother Seamus. Flower girl was Leah Mulcahy and Page Boys were Ross D. O'Sullivan and James Harrington. The bride was given away by her brother Kieran and looked absolutely stunning in her beautiful ivory silk dress. Bernice wore a sky-blue backless dress and also looked fabulous. The boys (not to be outdone were also very handsome in their dress suits. The singer was Nicola Regan. Noel was elected to Cork County Council in June 1999, is also a prominent footballer for both Castletownbere and Beara and is Postmaster in Castletownbere Post Office. Catherine is presently nursing in the local St. Joseph's Hospital, where she is very popular. They were joined by family and a large circle of friends at the Church and later at a reception in the Riversdale House Hotel in Kenmare.
