Audrey Cohalan & Seán
Houlihan ties the Knot
 |
Friday last, 20th April, was
date when the CTBere AIB Bank Manager, Audrey Cohalan and local Business
Man, Seán Houlihan wed in St. Columba's Church in Douglas, Cork.
Thankfully they were both blessed with lovely weather for their special
day. |
The beautiful ceremony was performed by Fr.Christy Fitzgerald and
the singer was the bride's brother-in-law, Martin Gleeson. Audrey
was attended to by her sister Una Gleeson while Seán was looked after
by his good friend Bobby Lotty. They were joined by their families
and friends who later celebrated the joyous occasion to a wonderful
reception in Acton Hotel, Kinsale where a splendid meal was served.
Following the
brilliant speeches, by not just the usual best man, father of the bride
and groom, groom himself but also to what must be described as a
heart-felt oration by the bride herself, who toasted everyone who attended, her
close friends and especially her family and her new husband and his
family.
The lively music was performed by a duo 'Eamonn & Michelle' who kept
young and old entertained on the floor. Could that man play the keyboard
- wow!! If that wasn't enough, they were followed by an equally lively
disco - in case the revellers were in danger of taking a
breather.
At the last dance, Seán and Audrey performed their own version of dance
steps to the music of Tina Turner's 'Simply the Best' and Frank
Sinatra's 'New York' encircled by everyone there. John
Travolta and Olivia Newton-John - eat your hearts out.
The only flaw to the day - if you could call it a flaw - was that there
was many a sufferer to new shoes, high heel shoes not used to being worn
and all the dancing done in them. Chiropodists would have made a
fortune the following morning easing out the aches and pains on those
tired and weary feet.
Meanwhile, Audrey & Sean are spending their honeymoon in Bali,
having first stopped over in Singapore on the way. Enjoy the well
earned break.
Thank you Audrey and Sean for sharing your special day with us
all. May you have a wonderful life together, full of good health,
love and good fortune. |
