The marriage took place recently at Eyeries Parish Church of Margaret Murphy, daughter of Nell and the late Batt Murphy, Kilcatherine and Matthew McGivern from Aukland, New Zealand. Matthew’s late father was from Co. Derry and his mother’s family from Limerick. The ceremony, with Nuptial Mass and Papal Blessing, was performed by Fr Donal O’Connor. Given away by her brother, Michael, the bride was elegantly attired in a full length off the shoulder gown of white satin with veil to match. The bridesmaid was the bride’s sister, Mary. Best man was Nick McGivern, brother of the groom. Following a reception at Riverside Hotel, Kenmare, the couple left on their honeymoon which is being spent in South Africa. |
