Millennium Mass - A Dream Come True

A Millennium Mass of Thanksgiving, composed by Bearaman, Michael Dennehy, who lives in Mitchelstown, was launched at the Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown, on December 7th last.  This special Mass had been written by Michael during the year and was sung on R.T.E.1 television during a live studio Mass by the Glenroe/Ballyorgan Choir, Kilmallock, with Michael. The CD-tape was launched at the Firgrove Hotel afterwards. Beara people had the chance of hearing the beautiful Mass of Thanksgiving when Michael, who is the youngest son of Nealie and Julia Dennehy, East End, Castletownbere, organised it during the 11am Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart just before Christmas

Rev. Fr. Michael Lane, PP, Glenroe/Ballyorgan Parish, officiated at the cermony in the Firgrove Hotel and Miss Anne Cox, Castletownroche, played a special arrangement of Cairdeas Dé with Mr. Eoghan O'Sullivan, Mitchelstown.  This was followed by a wonderful Irish dance presentation with Michael's daughter, Claire, Denise McEniry and Elaine O'Gorman.  Mrs. Annette Maguire, representing Mitchelstown Credit Union and other sponsors, presented a tape of the Mass to the twenty-two adult members of the choir and to the twenty children who all sang the Mass so well in Dublin. Michael, who is the principal of Glenroe Primary School, is a regular visitor to Beara.  Copies of the CD/Tape of A Millennium Mass of Thanksgiving - Wish Come True, are available at several outlets in Beara or by writing to Michael Dennehy, Dun Baoi, Cloughlefin, Mitchelstown.
