NATIONAL COMMUNITY GAMES - MOSNEY

17 OF THE 20 FOOTBALL TEAM REPRESENTING BEARA, CORK AND
MUNSTER IN MOSNEY
For the
first time in it's history Beara Community Games have 25 children participating
in the All Ireland Finals in Mosney.
These children will be representing Beara, Cork and Munster in Art,
Athletics and Football. For a small community it is a great achievement to have
such talent at this level.
As with
any form of success there is always a price to pay and unfortunately funds for
this trip are very limited.
The total cost to take the children to participate in the finals will be
around £3,000, any sponsorship or funding you would like to give us would be
greatly appreciated. Monies 93-62-78
The Finals will be held over two weekends 18th -19th Aug and 25th -26th Aug. both national press and television cover these events and all sponsorship will be advertised as best we can for those who wish it to be so. What a great achievement it is for you all to get to this stage - well done to all concerned.
On Fri. morning next (17th Aug.) at 7.30am, the footballers and artists will start their journey to Mosney, from the Square in CTBere, to compete during the week-end - Best of Luck to you all. The following weekend will see the athletes perform - again the very best of luck to you all. For the local readers of this article - why not come out and see them off and wish them well. They deserve all our support.
Also competing in the National Finals in Mosney are Maeve Coughlan, daughter of Tommy & Mary , Droum South, Castletownbere & Cork and Padraig Dennehy, son of Michael & Mary, Mitchelstown, grandson of Nealie Dennehy, Castletownbere.
