Successful Salvage

All eleven Spanish Crew were successfully rescued on the night it happened. The operation was aided by the the high equinox spring tides. Environmental specialists with the Dept. of the Marine were relieved that there were no leaking of Lube Oil which would have caused major pollution - especially in the scallop sea beds in the harbour area. Castletownbere Coast & Cliff Coastguard were on standby with booms to put in place - should the need have arisen.
