Wedding of Sheila O'Neill & John Walsh

John Walsh, one of the Bere Island representatives on the Beara Action Group Committee, (a lobby committee and main supporter of this Web Site) tied the knot with Sheila O'Neill, Filane, at Rosmacowen Church on Fri. last 24th Aug. - in glorious sunshine while the rest of the country endured rain.  The ceremony was performed by Fr. Rónan Murphy, assisted by Fr. Tim Vaughan and Fr. Sean O'Shea.  Sheila were attended to by her sisters Norma O'Neill-Collins and Mary O'Shea and her niece Sandra O'Neill.  John's brother Laurence, was Best Man and Groomsmen were Brian Drake and George Buckley. Flower Girl was Andrea Collins and Pageboy was Stephen O'Leary.  The word 'elegant' was mentioned quite often to describe the dresses, suits and the decorations in the Church, which summed it up very accurately. They all looked absolutely fantastic.

Music and singing were performed beautifully by Nicola O'Regan and Caroline Walsh and the readers were Laura O'Neill and Angela O'Leary. Photographer for the day was Billy Black, Castletownbere.

The couple were whisked away to their reception at the Riversdale House Hotel, Kenmare by Ian Kingston where they were joined by family and many friends.  The couple are now enjoying their honeymoon in Cyprus.  We wish you both long life, health and happiness.
