I.F.A. MUNSTER VICE-PRESIDENT

Donal Kelly, Lehanmore, Garnish - I.F.A. Munster
Vice-President
Beara I.F.A. have organised a party at Cametringane Hotel, Castletownbere for Saturday next, 12th January, to celebrate Donal Kelly's recent election victory to the position of I.F.A. Munster Vice-President.
Donal, who resides one hundred miles south-west of Cork City and with his back to the Atlantic Ocean, defied all the odds. This was a courageous decision, a huge undertaking and an awesome challenge and his win was a remarkable and outstanding achievement by any measurement or yardstick and he continues to be an inspiration to us all. He had a team of campaigners from Beara, West Cork and other parts of Munster, who worked tirelessly canvassing on his behalf over the six weeks prior to the actual voting. Their work and labour as well as that of Donal and his family paid dividends in the end.
Donal has made many remarkable contributions to rural areas over the years and despite the litany of negative development in the farming situation, Donal has kept hope alive. The extraordinary level of credibility he enjoys amongst the farming community is a reflection of the reputation he has earned as the voice of these beseiged men and women.
Donal is a highly motivated, committed and innovative farm leader and one would have to admire his many skills and unstinting efforts to promote the agricultural sector and rural areas.
Beara I.F.A. are proud of Donal's election to one of the top positions in the organisation and they wish him well in this most challenging role in the years ahead. Everyone is welcome to come along on Saturday night and join in this historic celebration in Cametringane Hotel, Castletownbere.
