Beara Bay Re-Opens

New owner Larry Lawless, pictured left outside the renovated Beara Bay Hotel - which opened to the public on Fri. last - having been shut since 1997 -as a niteclub and since 1996 as a Hotel.

Huge crowds turned out to wish Larry and his staff  well and to congratulate him on bringing light to a part of the town that was in darkness for too long.

On one end of the building is the totally re-vamped bar - now called The Skippers Bar and to the west is the new niteclub called 'Beacons Niteclub'.

Pictured on the right is a photo taken on Sun. of the bar area of the Skippers Bar.

Larry indicated that he was very pleased with the first week-end.

Lots more work is undergoing at present - to complete the bar and niteclub and on the accommodation side of the building - which will be a few months more before it will be fully finished.  It is certainly a better sight now than it has been for the last few years and it didn't take the workers long to bring it to what it is now from the pictures taken on Good Friday - click here to view

More Photos will be published later - I promise - battery ran out.
