Beara Climbers and Friends Climb Hungry Hill

At 10.30 a.m. the above party of climbers assembled at the foot of Hungry Hill (pictured in the background) to plan their ascent in ideal dry weather conditions, but a little hazy for a clear view at the top perhaps.   Led by Pub Owner, Adrienne MacCarthy (2nd from left- front row) and Dr. John Lyne (2nd from right at rear), the climbers while enjoying a relaxing Good-Friday, will also be raising money for the Aidan Con O'Sullivan Trust Fund.  Chairman of the Trust Fund, Tony Carey (Rear - 1st on right) also joined in on the climb today as did Eugene O'Leary (rear left with cap), avid sportman and local Garda, Adrian Byrne (front - 2nd from right) and Historian, Connie Murphy (1st on left centre).  They were joined by other locals and visitors to the area on vacation for the Easter Holidays and will enjoy a picnic during their 'adventure'.

Following the descent - I will try to get a photo of them at the summit - for later publication.
