Castletownbere GAA Dinner Dance - Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Junior County Champions

On December 27th, Castletownbere GAA held their annual Dinner & Dance at Cametringane Hotel.  This year was a special occasion, it was the 25th Anniversary of the Castletownbere Junior Team winning the County Championship and all that team were invited guests on the night.  A great turn out with all but 2 of the 1977 team present on the night.  Sadly, one of the team, Martin O'Driscoll has since died, after a long battle with cancer, and Timmy O'Sullivan, formerly of Droum could not be present on the night.  Following a fantastic meal, the celebrations commenced and the musicians  Murphy's Men  kept them busy on the floor into the early hours.  Much credit for the fantastic night was attributed to the Chairman of the Castletownbere Team, Donal Kelly, who put tremendous work into making it the success it was.  The 2002 victorious Minor B Team - County Champions were also present on the night.
