MFV Dawn Hunter

Last week-end, Tim Murphy, Castletownbere & Dursey, arrived into Castletownbere with his new 36' inshore fishing trawler.  Over the past few years, there have been quite a few new larger vessels acquired, but it is not often that we see new smaller inshore trawlers being bought.  Timmy is well know throughout Beara as being a very hard working fisherman - working mainly out of Garnish.  He was born and reared on Dursey Island and settled in Castletownbere with his wife Elizabeth and his 4 daughters.

The MFV 'Dawn Hunter' was built in Cornwall - to a very high standard.  We wish Timmy, his wife, family and crew the very best of luck and fruitfulness with his new purchase.
