Mural Paintings - by Castletownbere Art School

Over the summer, beginning in the middle of July the Castletownbere Art School opened to the children of Beara. As the weeks progressed the children and especially the youths got to know one another. Out of the youths the Art School hired 2 of the best to assist in teaching.  On the Saturday morning Art classes a group of teenage charcoal drawers emerged creating some gorgeous charcoal drawings of Castltownbere .  As the teenagers and myself got to know one another and they got more confident in their skills I was presented a mural on the wall of my Art School from them.  Also during the summer myself and one of the teenagers did a series of outreach workshops in places around the peninsular, such as Tuoisist, Allihies, Bere Island and Eyeries.   The following is a listing of dates of our activities.
