The Contestants for this years Beara Rose

one another and socialised. Murphy's Men were the entertainers for the
night and Joe O'Sullivan (Carraig) did the honour of picking the names from the
hat to determine the sequence of who was to go on stage first etc. on Sunday
night. Following this the girls mingled with the locals and visitors alike
and had fun singing along with the band and dancing to their music and later on
at the Disco.

Today, after checking into the totally
refurbished Beara Bay Hotel, compliments of owner Larry Lawless, they set off in
O'Donoghue's Bus, ably driven by Jimmy Lowney to tour Beara. Ther first
stop will be in Glengarriff, calling in to Bernard Harrington's - so that
they can wish their representative the best of luck. They will have some
light refreshments here and will then be whisked off to Allihies, calling to
O'Neill's Bar & Restaurant where they will have a light meal. They
will later call into Cametringane Hotel before retiring to the Beara Bay to
freshen up. Their first port of call tonight will be at The Usual,
followed later on to O'Donoghues
before their visit to the Skipper's Bar in the Beara Bay - a quick stop into
Twomeys and finally fininshing the
night at the Beacon's Niteclub.
