Brendan O'Connor receives Cork AllStar Award

Brendan O'Connor, Castletownbere, pictured above receiving the prestigious Cork AllStar Award for his outstanding performances in Athletics, from the President of the AAI, Mr. Michael Heery.  The function took place last weekend at the Arklow Bay Hotel.    Brendan has been competing sucessfully on the athletics field for some years now, and is hardly ever out of the winning platform.  Congratulation to Brendan and indeed to the Beara Athletic Club, whose performances have been excellent throughout the years.  It takes a lot of hard work on everyones part.

Brendan is pictured above with his mate, Luke Sweetman, who received the same honour for Dublin.

Brendan will be competing in Scotland this weekend in the 3As Championships - and we wish him continued success in his athletic career.
