New Whitefish Trawlers arrive in Port

On Sunday, December 22nd, two more new trawlers arrived into the Port of Castletownbere to be greeted by family, friends and well-wishers on the pier.  The 2 whitefish boats, built in Vigo, Spain, are identical in length and breadth, but some minor personal preferences seperate them in their outlay.  They were built for Ebbie Sheehan, Clounaglaskin - MFV 'Boy Jason' and for brothers Sean & Joseph (Joe-Joe) O'Sullivan, Castletownbere - MFV 'Cisemair'.  Both trawlers have received their fishing licences and will start the New Year off in their new vessels.

We wish Skippers and Crew, very prosperous and rewarding fishing trips and may all that work on them be safe.
