US Navy vs European Navies

Sunday afternoon, 31st August, the venue was Eyeries, where the crew from the USS THE SULLIVANS took on the crews from the L.E.Orla and the French Navy Ship Sterne in a game of soccer at the pitch.  Teddy Black was the MC for the afternoon and kept the spectators entertained of the happenings on the field.  A very clean game was played and the over-all result was 2-0 to the Europeans.  The US's comment was that it took 2 ship crews to beat them. Prior to this game, the crews were treated to a game of Gaelic Football with Urhan taking on Bantry and winning.  Following the games, medals were presented to each crew in the village.  Judging by the banter, a good day was had by all.
