WAXING FOR CHARITY

On Fri. night last, a number of males had parts of their anatomy waxed to raise funds to support a child in the upcoming Special Olympics.  The event was held in MacCarthy's Bar, the M.C. for the evening being Niall Duffy and the Professional who performed the waxing was Mary from Ahil's Hairdressing Salon in Castletownbere.  Bids were made from the floor and they were permitted to do some of the actual waxing for their contribution - often to the excruciating pains from the victims.  The following is a flavour of the night - click on image to view larger photo - use the back button on the browser to return to this page.  Be patient while the page loads - there are quite a lot of photos here.  Thank you to John Murphy who photographed the event - and did a mighty job!
