Kieran O'Driscoll,
Castletownbere, whose daughter Mairead is settled in the US and as a
family they love to go rod fishing. Kieran, went along also - a
busman's holiday as it were. Raymond Higgins, son in law, caught a
4 ft, 43 lb striped bass on one of their fishing trips off Shelter
Island - see picture below and right. Kieran jnr. seems to
have fishing in his blood - 2 generations on - across the
atlantic. The fish was caught by rod and reel, live lining with
porgies |
