French Student Exchange

25 Students aged between 14 and 16 plus 3 Teachers from College Saint-Pierre, Port Louis, 2nd Level School of our twin town Locmiquelic, Brittany, France, stayed at the home of students of Beara Community School last month.  All students enjoyed a super exchange week of language, culture and fun.  An excellent program of daily evenats was organised by the French Department untder the leadership of French Teacher Susan O'Connor.  Activities included a Hike on Bere Island, Tour of Beara, Kayaking, Trip to the Aquadome in Tralee & Geraldine Museum and Faungorth Activity Centre.

The pupils from Beara Community School will travel to France for a week at the begining of May.

Claude le Duc also travelled with the students and visited his many friends in Beara.
